Shipping Method

Within Japan we are using Yamato Express as our exclusive shipping partner due to their high reliability and good cost performance. With the exemption of Okinawa and Hokkaido, packages are usually delivered within one day.

Shipping Methods

EMS (Express Mail Service)
We use Express Mail Service (EMS) of Japan Post that takes 3-5 days to arrive to its destination. It is a highly reliable, fast and economic international delivery service. With EMS our customers can track the status of the package over the whole delivery process and packages are insured to a value of up to 2 million Japanese Yen.

E-packet
We also offer a cheaper shipping method that takes about 10 to 15 days to arrive. It also includes a tracking number and insurance up to ￥6000. You will be asked to select the shipping method during checkout.

NIHON ICHIBAN automatically calculates the international shipping costs during the check-out process based on the combination of weight and destination country.

Depending on the situation of delivery transport, customs clearance, and local handling conditions, the actual number of days until delivery might take longer in single cases. 

Insurance

All goods delivered by NIHON ICHIBAN are insured up to a maximum value of 2 million Japanese Yen.
In order to avoid damages our dispatching team takes the greatest care to protect the products. We have sufficient experience to also protect delicate goods such as bottles or ceramics.

Restricted Products

Many countries restrict the import of certain products such as alcohol or food. As far as we are aware of restrictions for a product we publish them in the shipping section on the product's page. In case a package is returned by the local authorities we will cover these costs and refund the whole purchasing amount to the customer.

Authorities might also apply import taxes or duties at the arrival of the package. Since this is out of control for us such charges have to be borne by the recipient. 

Tracking

You can track your package from the moment we hand it over to Japan Post up to the final delivery. All you need to do is to input the 13 digit number you receive with the notification of dispatching into the EMS tracking field of Japan Post.
